Pre-Concert Party at 6:30pm & Festival Orchestra Concert at 8pm.
This evening starts off casually with simple hors d'ouevres outdoors, but then, you're guaranteed to be wowed by the concert that follows! Music Director Donald Runnicles and the Festival Orchestra pull out all the stops for this spectacular performance.
First, sizzling young Dutch violin superstar Janine Jansen collaborates with her Ukrainian counterpart, violist Maxim Rysanov, for Mozart's sublime Sinfonia Concertante. The second half of the program features the Maestro's own concert arrangement of the sensational and sensuous comic opera, Der Rosenkavalier - sung by a trio of opera stars.
